Willkie Farr v. White & Case (Both NYC)
For corporate transactional work (PE/M&A), which firm would people choose: Willkie Farr or White & Case (NY)? I have offers for both-and am mostly interested in learning more about work/life balance (As much as it is possible with NYC biglaw) and work environments (social/collegiality)? Thanks!

Willkie is about as good as it gets in terms of social/collegiality/work life balance in NY biglaw.

Congrats on offers; both great places. For what you're interested in, Willkie culture and work/life balance is better imo.

White & Case is a phenomenal firm and I can't recommend their summer program or their culture more strongly--the people, the work, the social events, the international rotations and pro-bono work are all first-class--this is a great place to work and to thrive as an attorney! PM me if you'd like more information.

Fwiw, my cousin works at W&C's ny transactional group and he/she absolutely hates it.
