"You are being considered" - what does it mean?
I mass mailed about 50 firms and a couple of them replied me after about two weeks in email, saying that "you are being considered for the SA position." Does this simply mean that they started reviewing my application? I mean I have received some email dings already - so I'm not quite sure why they would send me an email just to tell me they started reviewing my materials. Any similar experience?

It means they're considering your application for SA employment.
