I am a junior patent prosecutor at a boutique firm. I graduated from t-14 with mediocre grades and my undergraduate degree is in EE/CS.
My ultimate goal is to go in-house. Do you guys have suggestions as to how to maximize the chance of landing a good in-house position? If I switch firms in the next couple of years, which firms or what types of work should I be looking for to increase my chance of later going in-house?

I clerked this summer in-house for a F500 company doing prep and pros. Based on what I was told, they were looking for people who had done prep and pros for 3-5 years, and had hired out of boutiques in the last few years. Source - this is the experience the chief IP counsel and others told me to get so they could hire me down the road.
