i'm sure someone somewhere worked shitlaw for a few weeks in between 1L semesters. it's not a matter as to if it's allowed but if there are employers willing to take a flier on you for only 3-4 weeks.

Yeah. If you have an uncle, dad, grandfather, etc. who has their name on the door of a small law firm. And they like you and it's worth their time.

Yeah, they worked for a summer before law school and came back for winter/spring break.

At least one DA office does this on an irregular basis. Probably more as a method of implanting people they like/know rather than an immediate mutual opportunity. I doubt most people would bother with it. You'd be gone by the time you transitioned from burden to asset. I'd take it if you do find something, though. That month off was boring af.
