Loyola PLIP back-to-back-to-back what to do if one interviewer is delayed?

Post by Anonymous User » Sat Jul 23, 2016 9:01 pm

Let's say I go to Interviewer 2 and found he's still talking to previous interviewee during my time slot. I'll certainly wait.
Then he talks with me long enough that I miss half of the next scheduled interview. What do I do? Do I cut him off? If I don't, do I go to my interviewer 3 afterwards (being very late), or do I skip interviewer 3 and go to interviewer 4?

Someone on the board said that delays are very common, and thinking about this makes my head large. Any advice appreciated!

I have some back to back to backs, and the consensus seemed to be to politely tell the interviewer that the previous interview was extended because it started later. Also, I remember reading comments telling us to not worry, as this happens frequently enough for interviewers to be understanding.

This is likely gonna be rough. At Loyola your interviews can be many floors apart with a zillion people trying to use the elevators

If I were u i would prioritize the 3. IME interviews sometimes still hold it against u if you're late. If an interview is not going well and I care about the next firm more, I would just excuse myself, personally.

Idt there is any great way to handle this though

If you want to be hilariously anal, if you have time prior to the interviews, find your interview rooms and time your walks between the rooms so you can gauge when you need to ask to cut it off.

They may hold it against you?? Wow, that's hilariously unprofessional. Shouldn't this have been programmed better? I can't believe we would be criticized for wanting to maximize our chances at landing a job.

Still, thank you for the valuable advice. I guess I better get to timing the walks and prioritizing the firms.

Once you see it, you'll realize Loyola fair is a massive clusterfuck of people running every direction in a weird venue. Across like 6 with two elevators in one shaft for hundreds of people
