Following up w/ status: recruiter/HR or partner?
So it's been a few weeks after my callback interview (lateral) and I was going to follow up with the firm. Lateral recruiting is done through the firm's HR recruiter. The recruiter is a non-practicing attorney. Should I contact the partner I had my callback with or should I go through the recruiter? Since my interview, I've spoke with both the recruiter and the partner. The partner called about a week ago to ask me a follow up question.
