What excuses to make when you need to take a leave and interview with another firm
1L SA at a firm that I want to be considered for offer. Also doing a pre-OCI interview with another firm in the region. I feel kind of weird to tell my firm that I need to take half a day off to interview with another firm. What kind of excuses do people make other than dental/doctor stuff?

there are so many reasons why someone can't go to work but don't ever tell your firm you need to leave for another interview.

I'm a first year associate who has left the office for several interviews. Medical, dental, personal obligation (leave it vague). If I expected to be gone for a short period of time, I might just leave without saying anything. As a summer, generally speaking, people do not have a clear idea of where you are or what you are doing.
