Paul Weiss Pay Scale on Vault
Why does Vault still have the old ($160K) pay scale listed for Paul Weiss? As far as I can tell, most of the other big movers are listed as moving to the new scale. I'm sure I'm not the only person doing EIW who is confused about this... And wasn't PW one of the first to match Cravath? Stupid that Vault still has the old scale on there...

Re: Paul Weiss Pay Scale on Vault
If you know what the pay scale actually is what does it matter that Vault didn't update the firm's profile?
Good use of anon as your special flavor of neuroticism would surely have outed you to your classmates.

Re: Paul Weiss Pay Scale on Vault
OP here--because 1) almost every other mover to $180 is shown as moving to $180, and 2) vault is a reputable source (at least I thought) that I'm referring to (one of many, obviously) in order to prepare for OCI. It obviously is not going to dissuade me from bidding on them in any way, it's just a bad typo by Vault. And I thought a post on here was worth it on the EXTREMELY RARE chance that Vault new something that I (an incoming 2L, with limited knowledge of this whole firm thing) did not, especially since most other firms are listed as having moved to $180.

I underlined and bolded everything wrong with your response. I'll let someone more senior than myself explain to you why.Anonymous User wrote:OP here--because 1) almost every other mover to $180 is shown as moving to $180, and 2) vault is a reputable source (at least I thought) that I'm referring to (one of many, obviously) in order to prepare for OCI. Good luck during OCI.

Might be a top 5 neurotic post on top-law-schools.com/forums
There's an official memo from Paul Comma Weiss on Above The Law. You probably shouldn't apply there though, because I've heard they don't pay market.

I don't understand the point of the OP. If OP knows that the pay scale has been adjusted to Cravath, and admits that he/she would apply even if PW didn't adjust, then what's the point? It's crazy how such an insignificant website can have a grip on people. OP, just apply.Actus Reus wrote:Might be a top 5 neurotic post on top-law-schools.com/forums

OP is the type of person that goes to law school, does well, and then bombs interviews or makes coworkers' lives miserable with highly neurotic/autistic worrying.

Re: Paul Weiss Pay Scale on Vault
Geez take it easy on me! I don't know what you all were like when you were doing OCI, but all of these resources are overwhelming, and frankly I didn't know that vault was insignificant. I know that rankings etc. are not worth all they claim to be, but with Chambers, Vault, etc., I don't know which ones to believe or not. I noticed that 1) PW seemed to indicate that it had made the raise, and 2) Vault didn't indicate that PW had raised to $180 even though it made the $180 change for most other firms. I get that it's clearly a typo, but as a newcomer to all this I just wanted to make sure I guess

OP please use common sense. Failing that, don't step foot in a law firm. Reconsider your life choices up until this point.
