For those living in NYC it'll be ~$1000/month after all income taxes

Its funny. When I bought my house in Long Island - all of my NYC friends were aghast that I would be paying "Nassau Taxes." I guess they never noticed the 4% City Income tax they pay, which works out to being the same damn thing.
