Who did you MM? The interviewers or contacts at the firm/office?

Thank you emails to callback interviewers - yes, no or you can but it makes no difference?

I emailed whoever the firm listed on its website as its contact, often the recruiting manager/coordinator. Worked for me but YMMV.

Anyone know how long it takes from CB to offer? Had my first CB interview last week and was wondering:

a) if they ding you, will they let you know?
b) if they haven't gotten in touch within about a week, is that a ding?

It's firm dependent. Some will offer you same-day, others can take much, much longer. Don't give up hope but keep hustling until you have an offer.

Your interviewers may very well have sent in their evaluation of you by the time your email reaches them. For that reason I don't think it matters.

After my first few CBs I emailed everyone who interviewed me. Then I got lazy and ended up emailing the recruiting coordinator something like, "Thank you for arranging my callback. I enjoyed learning more about X firm. Please extend my thanks to A, B, C, and D." That seemed to work just fine.

I will say I remember reading in one firm's Chambers Associate profile that an attorney there expected thank-you emails. But I think s/he may be the exception that proves the rule.

(a) They will let you know, but not necessarily immediately.
(b) It's not a ding, but I wouldn't expect an offer. Plenty of people, myself included, have received an offer more than a week after a CB. However, in my experience most offers come within one week.

I went back and tried to update the list as best I could for ease-of-access. It includes the screeners' initials and office location if it was there. I'm hoping this will inspire a few classmates to post some more info; definitely a lot missing here!
