Only firm I've known to do this is Gibson Dunn, and it means you will most likely get a CB at the dinner.

Yeah, that's the point of the thread.
runinthefront wrote:When AJF begins, you should use the anon feature to report any callbacks, offers and rejections you get so that other neurotic folks can know what to expect and freak out accordingly. And when you report a CB, please include the initials of the screener you had if the firm sent multiple screeners; different screeners for the same firm may make decisions at different times. I will update the OP with a master list of CBs and rejections as you send them in, so you can check this post to see which firms have given out callbacks already.

This isn't true (anyone). Last year, Gibson Dunn invited like 15-16 or so to dinner and callbacked very, very, very few . . . days after the dinner.Lavitz wrote:Only firm I've known to do this is Gibson Dunn, and it means you will most likely get a CB at the dinner.

Seems there is generally less movement today compared to other years. Here's hoping everyone is just exhausted and saving the calls for the morning.

Don't worry if you don't hear anything tonight. I got one CB two days after a screener last year (from someone who made several calls the night of the screener) and another a week after a screener.

Not even remotely. Not even remotely screwed. It's not uncommon. But you should sit down tonight and think about your day, regardless of whether your phone rang or not: think about what went really well today, and try to continue doing it; think about some of the questions you struggled with and figure out ways to address that; think about how the interviewer would probably describe you to a legal recruiter, if prompted; and think about whether that description is a good one/what you can do to better that description tomorrow.Anonymous User wrote:Had 8 interviews but zero callback for now. Also, get some sleep, as it's already 10:25pm.
Good luck! You got this.

If i'm scheduling a callback online is it bad to pick the slot that does not come with lunch or coffee?

I think these typically are for you to learn more about the firm from first or second year associates. And you cop a free lunch at somewhere nice. That said it won't benefit you on a hiring stand point but could hurt you if the associates report back negatives on you (even if your 4 interviews went great).Anonymous User wrote:If i'm scheduling a callback online is it bad to pick the slot that does not come with lunch or coffee?
I did the lunches each time but i was also confident that I could keep i together for another hour. If I could go back and do it again I'm not sure I would since i found them to still be really draining, particularly because you can't let your interview guard down and it is a lot of Q&A.

If your question is more, "Will they think I'm less interested because I chose a slot that doesn't come with lunch or coffee?", the answer is no, not at all.Anonymous User wrote:If i'm scheduling a callback online is it bad to pick the slot that does not come with lunch or coffee?
