Can't speak to this year but when I went through EIW the really eager callbacks didn't start on day 1 til 8 PM or so.
Most of my callbacks came after the first week; don't freak out if you have a couple days radio silence during this week.

Some douchebag was scheduling a callback on the phone really obnoxiously in front of people waiting to go into interviews. Donno what firm but sucks to be them.

All my callbacks (NY) came within the first week. I think the latest was Friday from a Tuesday screener.

Last year, NYC callbacks came anywhere from same day, to next day, to a week later. Boston firms called the end of the week or a week later.

Were most of them the same day or the next day? Like within 24 hours?

I know of one DC firm that has reached out for callbacks and one secondary-market firm that has also started setting up callbacks.

That might be the most awful think you can do at EIW

Yeah, it's day one so you all still think this is shocking. More and more callbacks go out throughout the week and this will be happening constantly if you hang out in the student lounge. Takeaway: (1) don't be the shitbird on the phone in the lounge and (2) don't hang out in the lounge.
Re: CB timing. I bid exclusively DC and like one random office in another city, and literally all of my cb's came in the first week, mostly by Thursday. Some will come in earlyish but won't actually get scheduled til the following week, but generally firms try to move fast. NY-based firms move much faster than everyone else. I think I got a PW DC callback like 3 hours after the screener.
Good luck, people.

Do most firms give all callbacks around the same time/ on the same day? If a friend heard back from a firm, does that mean you almost definitely got dinged?

Second hand info.
But basically yes. There may be calls later but mostly in one big wave, at least for NY

Anyone heard back from Milbank? They have this callback dinner thing, so I suppose all CBs should come out within the day.

Can confirm this. The calls later are usually made if they haven't gotten enough callback acceptances, so hang in there unless you hear an outright rejection.

If it's a smaller dinner, probably a callback if you don't drool on yourself. If it's just a mass event that everyone goes to (I think Shearman did this) no significance.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
