Do You Mass Mail Firms Coming to Your OCI?

Post by Anonymous User » Sat Jun 11, 2016 11:49 am

This board has been a great resource throughout the process, so thanks to everyone.

I just finished my first year at low-T14. Didn't do so well (a shade below median - not sure where it puts me in ranking). So my best bet is to mass mail. I have a specific question. Should I mass mail ALL the firms in my target markets, including the firms coming to my OCI? The reason I ask is this - there are no guarantees that we'll get the slots for the firms we want. Is it a good move to 'preempt' that and just mass mail all the firms, and have some of them tell me 'look for us in the OCI' or something along those lines? Would it hurt in any shape or form?

Mass mail every firm you didn't get an interview with at OCI, and tell the firms that you bid on but didn't get that you bid on them in your cover letter. This shows that you actually had some level of interest in them.
