Do all firms eventually ding if they think we're garbage, or do some not care enough to notify us that we're awful?

Although hilariously, that omission was balanced out when a firm proceeded to reject me, again, in December.

Latham never sent put rejections either.

Latham also didn't start their callbacks until the 28 day period was already expiring for some firms (like mid-September) which was pretty lulzy. No idea if they scrapped that moronic idea yet.

The Kirklands and DPWs of the world will have already given out offers by Friday. That would expire on September 9, when Latham wouldn't have even finished its CLS callbacks.

You'd think someone in the Lipstick Tube would have realized that it's a race. My firm has angled for years to get on the first day of interviews at every school, give same-day callbacks, and turn around offers in 48 hours or less. Most every school has moved OCI up to no later than the second week of August (even schools like Stanford, who was still doing it in September as of two years ago). Lot of schools are even doing it in July now.

No, nobody cares. I'm sure you weren't the only one. Some people will use the official one if they got better grades first semester because the official transcript lists the semesters in chronological order while the unofficial transcript lists them in reverse chronological order. But if you're having upload problems, use the unofficial one and make sure to turn on the option to put your name on it

This is most common when folks go off-form for resumes, but I've seen it with cover letters too. You definitely would not want to be one of a small minority using an official transcript - it's not a fatal mistake but it's an unforced error.

Not necessary. The thank you won't help you and typos will hurt you. Some people see them as just clogging up they're inbox. That being said I send them anyway after I schedule my callback just to let them know when I'm coming in and that I'd like to drop by if they're free.

I guess you're referring to thank yous for screeners. what about callbacks where the conversations are generally a bit extended?
