Any additional information on that Ropes offer? i.e. when the callback was along with when the offer came in? Had a cb with them a little bit ago and still waiting on word.

Not sure how many have gone out so don't want to get too specific, but both the PH and Ropes offers were extended less than a week after CBs. I believe the McDermott offer was pre-OCI.

PSA: Since classes are starting up later this week and people are starting to return to Chicago, please don't be the person constantly talking about your success during OCI. Yes, you may have 10+ callbacks and 5 V10 offers, but not all your classmates need to know about it. Many of your classmates are still waiting on their first offer. 1/3 of your class is not going to end up in biglaw, whether by choice or not. Be humble about your fortunes and try not to make others feel bad about their situation.

Not OP but I'll give my experience -- CB two weeks ago, heard back about a week after, got the call in the early evening (5-6pm or so).

Not sure how useful it is to know what time of day others received their calls. In my experience it varies too much to mean anything.

And for those waiting, keep in mind that Sidley makes decisions as a committee, and when they meet will likely be the largest factor in determining how quickly you hear back. I believe last week they met on Thursday; the above anon who heard back in 2 days probably lucked out by doing their CB on Tuesday, whereas someone who did it on Thursday will likely have to wait at least another week, until the committee meets again. Don't read too much into it.

Also, from the little I've gathered, it doesn't sound like the committee meets the same day/time every week, so don't be too bummed if you don't hear back this Thursday. There's so much none of us can know.
