So on Avvo, you can search... say "criminal defense attys dallas texas" and it will say, "there are 395 criminal defense attys in dallas." do they only count the firm owners or do they also count the firm associates as well? I'm trying to perform market research.
i want to calculate market share based on number of total employees not just number of owners; bc one owner may only handle 2 cases a year and the other is like a giant settlment mill. this could create problems in researching

Avvo is useless garbage. Lots of the information listed is automatically populated random crap. Not reliable for any sort of research like you're describing.
