Philadelphia Internship and Drug Testing
Hey all! As of next week I will officially be an intern at Philly's DA's office. I am not a frequent drug user, but have taken one hit two days ago and smoked heavily two weeks ago. There has been no mention of a drug test but I am extremely worried about this. Has anyone interned there and would know?

Why would you smoke knowing that you'd be working there in a few weeks?

There had been no indication on the application page, during the interview, or in the acceptance email that I would have to have a test done, so it wasn't until that two days ago that I realized it could be a possibility.

I interned with the Philly DAs office 2 years ago and was never drug tested, I never heard of anyone else getting tested either. You should be fine

Not Philly County, but interned with Montgomery County DA few years ago and no drug test

I'd shave all the hair off your body just to be safe. Hair tests go back three months.

They do not drug test. I am a 0L about to attend law school but I worked as a paralegal in the office and they had me attend the law student internship orientation when I was hired. Plus the city is super broke so they couldn't afford to do this if they wanted to.
