Set up an email alert when the job posting goes live. My understanding is that those who get their applications in first get interviewed first. Also, you've been out for a year and you're still clerking for them?

C/O '15 as well. Post-barred w/ LA during the fall. Between May '15 and Nov '15, LA hired maybe 40 brand new DPDs. So us class of '15 folks missed the boat. At the same time, I've heard rumors since January from DPDs ranging from I-IV that hiring for new attorneys is going to reopen very soon. Who knows. In the meantime, apply to other counties, and while you pursue a PD job, get a gig that gets you in court often. The advice from previous poster regarding applying earlier in the app cycle is credited.

OP here. Sorry--should've been more specific. I'm a district court clerk. I have my email alerts set up but nada. Really just trying to quell my anxiety that maybe I somehow missed the boat. LA's process is so far from transparent its crazy.
