T14 2L slightly below median grades, struck out in DC OCI (bid way too high, only V50 firms) and settled for something in NY at the last minute (non V100 biglaw).
One week in and I fucking hate it here, I can't imagine spending several years in this city, I have to get to DC by any means necessary. Willing to take a reasonable pay cut (no loans), but not sure how to proceed. Government is not an option. Any advice is appreciated.
