Question - 1L Clerkship

Post by Anonymous User » Sat Apr 23, 2016 5:56 pm

I will be interning this summer in the IP department of a large oil company (think Shell, Chevron, BP, etc.). They don't have a standard "summer associate" program, per se, and there will only be a few clerks in the office. I was told it'll be substantive patent work rather than just bullshit memos or something like that. They know I haven't been able to take any IP classes yet, so I'm wondering what to expect regarding the time of work I'll be able to do and what kind of office environment I can expect. Any advice or suggestions?
