What do you do when you're not billing?

Post by Anonymous User » Fri Apr 22, 2016 6:34 pm

I've worked part-time through this past semester at a small-mid size law firm (about 25 attorneys). There were some times that I found myself with nothing to do. What do you guys do when you're not billing any time?

Much more TLS now that the firm is blocking my favorite blogs and not paying for some of my industry subscriptions; PLI CLEs; look for other jobs; free classes on computer programming/excel/personal finance etc.; Netflix; gchat; facebook chat... when I worked in a larger office, I would mostly talk to other associates... sometimes I just leave and advise my secretary to consider the same.
