Law review and employment

Post by Anonymous User » Sun Apr 17, 2016 10:27 am

I know that generally law review is a necessity for big law and other employment. But how much does getting published and/or being on the editorial board matter? And does it matter more or less at a TTT?

Grades > law review > being published

The lower ranked your school is, the more it matters that you have all three (or at least the first two).

I think the first two are much more important unless you want to clerk, in which case a judge will expect to see your note. Something like: Grades > law review >>>> being published. Most people get their biglaw jobs through 2L OCI which means that you won't be published at that point and you won't know if you going to end up the editorial board.
