Nah I have another solid hour of sitting in my buddy's office and throwing pencils up at the ceiling before I head to lunch. Hopefully we'll be back before 4 today, I need to fill out my exit survey. I honestly pity the folks who are still gunning their asses off.pancakes3 wrote:11:09. you trying to go to lunch, bro?Yeezus Wept wrote:Y'all need to chill the fuck out. I am at a firm that is not 100% offer, but generally everyone gets one and as we have been told a million times, the offer is yours to lose. As no one has said anything that could be construed as an indicator that I am not getting an offer, I am straight chillin. At this point, I know that my chances of not getting an offer are lower than the chances I die in a car wreck on my way home from work today. Sounds like a lot of you are in the same situation. So please, for the love of god, relax and enjoy the last two days of getting paid obscene amounts of money to do jack shit.

One day til exit interview (hopefully to include offer). A little nervous that no one has asked me which practice groups I'd prefer.

Tomorrow is my last day at my firm. I worked a lot with one particular partner, I was thinking of getting him a small gift or card. Is this a good idea? Or would it be seen as a kiss ass gesture?
Thanks!

I would say definitely no to both. What would you possibly say in a card that you couldn't say stopping by for a minute in person?Anonymous User wrote:Tomorrow is my last day at my firm. That moment when you're having lunch with your partner mentor (who happens to be the head of litigation) and you realize that the tiny slit in the leg of your dress turned into a BIG slit riding up your thigh. Thank goodness for lap napkins. Hope he didn't think I was trying to proposition him.

What's everyone doing to fill the time on their last days? Any good websites that can be accessed from firm computers? These threads aren't posted in enough to keep me occupied.

Most of us still have assignments to finish, but I'm losing my motivation. I took a nap in the library earlier.

No gift. As someone elsewhere on TLS said, gifts go down the chain of command, not up.Anonymous User wrote:Tomorrow is my last day at my firm. Also no card. It's way less socially awkward to just stop by their office, thank them with a smile, and shake their hand. Worked well for me.

Can anyone report if the Skadden slapper got an offer?

Was just asked to stay on part time during year. Still no mention of an offer. Bad sign?

Great sign! They value your work enough to keep having you do it and they will pay you for it. Personally, I wouldn't want to keep working through the school year, but it is definitely a good thing that they asked.Anonymous User wrote:Was just asked to stay on part time during year. I'm probably not going to hear until Monday, but I'm not worried. Grats to everyone getting offers.

He was probably wondering if you knew you got an offer yet.Slytherpuff wrote:That moment when you're having lunch with your partner mentor (who happens to be the head of litigation) and you realize that the tiny slit in the leg of your dress turned into a BIG slit riding up your thigh. Re: Summer Associate Class of 2016
Tomorrow is the big day at my (V10, 100% offer) firm and yet I've still managed to let myself become anxious thanks to the more neurotic of the summer associates who have heard certain rumors that suggest somebody won't be getting an offer. I figure if that's true, that person would know by now anyway, so I'm gonna enjoy the last day and the feeling of real employment.

Of course our exit interviews are right at the end of the day (100% firm). Still was hoping for a celebratory wet lunch.

Re: Summer Associate Class of 2016
In my experience (I know three people who were cold offered at 100% offer firms over the past few years), the only reason to worry is if you got a late exit review AND nearly all the other summers' exit reviews were earlier in the day (or week) than yours. Firms generally hand out cold offers as close to 5PM on the last day as they reasonably can.
So basically don't worry.

Offered. Clerking next year, so getting no-offered wouldn't've been a huge problem, but it still feels good. Excited to come back.

Re: Summer Associate Class of 2016
Asking this here cause I don't want to make a new thread. For the firms that asked UG transcripts at the screener, does it matter if they're shit (like <2.6 shit) if your law school grades are good?
It's pretty annoying that firms ask for UG transcript at all because my password expired and it's a pain in the ass to get my unofficial transcript.
