I don't have a scale but it's probably in the 5-10 range. I've gotta find a way to get back on a workout schedule.

Anyone else in here throwing out any 3L resumes? I've enjoyed the people I've met, but I'm probably going to put out feelers to a few places that do more work in the practice group I've come to like. Too early to do that now? How long to wait?

I am.. Really like my firm/office, and office is typically 100% offer, but firm as a whole is not. Want to hedge in case of the slim chance i get no-offered.Anonymous User wrote:I might. Considering mailing firms that have PokéGyms in the building. Not sure how I should tailor my cover letter.

I'll be disappointed if mewtwos aren't hospitality suite swag for at least one law firm.

Is anyone else irrationally worried they are not going to get an offer? I've had good reviews but I still over analyze every interaction I have trying to figure out if I am going to get screwed.

The only SAs ITT that aren't irrationally worried they are not going to get an offer are the ones who are rationally worried that they are not going to get an offer.Anonymous User wrote:Is anyone else irrationally worried they are not going to get an offer? When do most firms give offers? Last day of summer, sooner, later?

It varies, but I think most do it in the last few days of the summer or later. Ask an associate how your firm does it, then you won't be obsessing over it for another three weeks!Anonymous User wrote:When do most firms give offers? Last day of summer, sooner, later?

Re: Summer Associate Class of 2016
Would appreciate any insight. I'm the only summer associate at my branch. Other branches do various summer events, along with lunches and usual summer fun. About 2 weeks ago, COO of firm told my branch no more summer lunches and definitely no summer events. Is this sign of a no-offer? I've gotten nothing but good feedback from my work product thus far, and haven't had any events or anything to go to, so I doubt I've made any bad impression. Do you think firm may just want to stop hiring at this branch? Love the firm and was hoping to get an offer, but wondering if I should start mass mailing ASAP

Re: Summer Associate Class of 2016
How did you find out about the COOs decision? I think it would be appropriate to ask whoever it was that told you there wouldn't be any future summer events why that was the decision. It could be that a small office having an entire event for 1 person seems unjustified from a budgeting perspective. Are lunches or happy hours with just a few people still acceptable and expensable? If so, then you probably don't have to worry. My firm got rid of SA programs at small offices for the same budgeting concerns, and then one of the small offices that I work with primarily hires laterals, or will give offers to summers in larger offices nearby that are interested in the smaller office location (only after the summer expresses an interest in switching to said smaller office, and the large office makes it very easy to say no if you don't want to go to said smaller location).Anonymous User wrote:Would appreciate any insight. No, but I do it over the firm wifi on my phone so I'm pretty blatant either way.barkschool wrote:Anyone become so bold as to TLS on their firm computer?

Re: Summer Associate Class of 2016
Found out about COO's decision when managing partner told me no one at firm was allowed to pa for my lunch anymore. Kinda sucks since I don't go to lunch with anyone anymore so can't take time to get to know the other associates. And as far as events, was just told all spending relating to summer associates at this branch was to cease immediately.
