I will be a first year associate in Irvine in the fall.
1. Does anyone have housing advice -- most one bedrooms at decent apartments start at 1800 which is insane.
2. Is anyone on here looking for a roommate? If so PM me.

Do you know anyone who goes to UCI? If any of the students there are subletting, you could be living somewhere for less than a thousand. If you don't, I can ask around for you.

Given that this is Orange County and close to UCI/ocean, ~1800 for a 1bedroom doesn't seem that insane to me. CA is expensive. You are still better off than people in Bay Area and NYC.
I do agree with above poster that looking at UCI law students for roommates/ subletting first year will help get that down.
