I applied for this last week and was wondering if anyone here had done this before? What's the rough process of finding out results? Where did you end up going and what did you do? How did getting paid work?

You should go on the jag thread either here or in the forum for law students (I can't remember if it was moved or not). It's extensive and has all the info you need.
