Seriously considering auditioning for Hamilton
Open auditions for Hamilton are in May and it would cost me a year of work on the infinitesimal chance I got a part. Would a BigLaw firm laugh in my face, or let me take the year since it's basically a once in a lifetime thing? Since I'm gonna be doing PAYE after I graduate in May and have super low income for this past tax year, I'm not concerned about loan payments and I can live my paren't house in LI or find a super cheap spot to rent, so the money would work out. I just don't want to go audition at all if, even if I got a part, my firm would be like "sure, but there won't be a job for you next year." It's not like I'm going to do something helpful like a clerkship.
