Received a callback and a request for my schedule, but haven't heard from them since?
It's been 3 days since I gave the firm my schedule. This is for an internship this summer. Is it normal for them to wait so long? I was thinking of writing an email reiterating my interest, but I don't want to come off as impatient. What do you guys think?

Yes it's totally normal. This is the business world, where anything in <2 weeks is standard operating procedure. Add in the fact that you're probably a 1L, so you are even lower on their list of priorities. MINIMUM wait 2 weeks before even thinking about emailing again.

The problem with that is that I gave them my immediate schedule (tomorrow, this weekend, on Monday, etc.). I got the callback the day after the interview so I thought it would be an immediate appointment. If they don't answer by Tuesday, my previous email is obsolete and I'll have to send them another one.

Agreed. Definitely don't email yet. There are plenty of reasons it could take some time (people out of the office, other priorities within the firm like performance reviews etc. that take a lot of time but have to follow a schedule). I've heard of it taking as much as three weeks to schedule a callback. I would wait at least a week before sending a very friendly follow-up, perhaps offering new times you are available or something similarly helpful. The one exception to that advice is if you get an exploding offer from another employer between now and the one-week mark-- then there's nothing wrong with tactfully letting them know you have some time constraints.a corsair wrote:Yes it's totally normal.
