Wearing slippers at the office

Does anyone have a pair of slippers that they keep at work to wear in the evenings when we are tolling away, the office is quiet, and no clients are likely to show up? Would it be bad etiquette? (When I was a law clerk at a small-firm, I saw associates wearing slippers throughout the day).
