2L Summer - District Attorney General's Office or Mid-Sized Private Firm?
Does anyone have a suggestion regarding whether to take an unpaid position with the local District Attorney General's Office or a paid internship with a Mid-Sized private firm? I'm in a smaller city in the Southeast.

How bad do you want to be a DA after law school and can you work unpaid there during the school year? Unless you really, really want to work in that office and have reason to expect they will hire you after graduation you have to go with the one that pays.

I honestly have no idea whether I would want to work for them or not (at this point, I'm not sure how picky I can be considering the job market). I worked with the paid firm my 1L summer and they invited me back, but because of their size, they're not sure of their hiring needs which led me to look around for other opportunities.
