I assume you are not writing briefs but how about legal memos such aa those that are typically part of the 1L curriculum? I assume this differs heavily by practice? How is M&A?
I do not enjoy writing that requires significant Bluebook usage and citations. Am I out of luck or is there a different type of contractual/document writing that is used in these practice areas?

There is no real blue book usage in corporate practices.

The writing that you do in corporate is nearly always drafting (of agreements, OMs, SEC filings) or as a junior, often Board resolutions. More typically you will mark something up or adapt a precedent you are told to use by making anywhere from minor to substantive edits. You may rarely be asked to do a very straightforward memo to summarize due diligence or a new SEC rule/interpretation. But writing like you saw in law school is exceedingly rare on the corporate side. I say this as a former longtime senior corporate paralegal who worked across many different kinds of corporate law--VC, M&A and cap mkts.
