Hi all,
Question on how to place bids. I currently have 1L Spring OCI with a firm that I am very interested in. I am also participating in my city's bar association minority outreach program, where several large firms are involved. There are 3 law schools in my city and all are participating. The firms are only looking at these specific schools for its pool of candidates. I go to the higher ranked law school out of the 3 and I am also in the top 10% and have a federal judge internship secured.
My question is: if I already have OCI with a firm, should I still place a bid with them on the minority OCI (I only get 5 bids, and there are other biglaw firms that I could place it with). However, I am very interested in this firm, but I want to be strategic about this as well.
Thank you for any guidance.

No need to bid twice on the same firm.

Re: OCI & Minority Bids
Well, for the minority program, they HAVE to take at least 1 person -- and from what i've been told, a lot of the people participating don't have that high of a class standing, and i'm honestly not too confident about the normal OCI process because my school isn't that great (top 50), so I feel like I would have an increased chance if I was also bidding through minority since i would only be competing with 3 schools diverse students, as opposed to T14 people as wellNoChainz wrote:No need to bid twice on the same firm.
