Carlson Caspers CRUSHES the MN market. They pay first years $140k. Raises after that are blackbox, but junior associates ive spoken to have told me they've received 20k or so in raises. Keep in mind, even worse than the $120k market for first years in MN is the shitty raises. Those salaries are so fucking compressed and bonuses are fucking shitty. imagine being a 5th year in MN making 150k or so after bonuses or being in NYC (or any cravath scale place) making 340k after bonuses.
