Re: SA Housing Swap 2016
I'm looking at subletting an apartment through Brooklyn Law School this summer. The website is helpful and says to contact them after March 1st....just wondering if there are any tips or tricks I should know about or if I should be pretty much guaranteed something if I contact them in March. Thanks!

You might check on corporate apartment/condos. I had to do that once, a bit expensive, but doable on a BL income. Mine was for LA, but NYC probably offers something similar.WestWingWatcher wrote:What are people doing to find housing for their summer in NYC. I have a studio in downtown DC but the supply and demand of DC housing v. NYC housing is not favorable so it seems. All the websites for apartment hunting that I have found or have been recommended to me haven't really been very helpful. Its likely in part because we're still more than 3 months out, but regardless, none of them seem to have many short term rentals.

Thanks, I will look in to this! At this point I don't even know what 'a bit expensive' is just because I'm having a hard time pinning down what a realistic price is . . .LA Spring wrote:You might check on corporate apartment/condos. I have a 2br in Queens (20 minute subway ride to Midtown that I'm looking to swap for a place in DC. It's a great apartment in a great location at a great price - closer to midtown firms than Brooklyn!

I have a studio in Cambridge (30 min commute to downtown Boston) in a good building that I'm looking to sublet for the summer. I'll let it go for pretty cheap just to stop worrying about it.
Also looking for a place to stay in NYC with an easy commute to midtown.
Lemme know if you can help with either one!
