JAG internships as a 1L is hella fun. Great experience and a lot of fun. But you sort of have to be a little bit into it.

Interested in litigation? If so, intern for a district court judge. I've never met so many high-profile individuals in such a short period (and not just judges). You will get great insight into what (federal) lit is like and meet some great people.

OP, you're at HLS, right? For some reason, SPIF doesn't cover judicial internships so bear that in mind if $$ is of any concern.
