More prestigious? SA or SEC Summer Honors Intern Program
What is the better choice, a summer associate position at a big firm (top twenty, let's say) or a Summer Honors Intern position at the SEC?

Re: More prestigious? SA or SEC Summer Honors Intern Program
The SEC takes over 100 summer "honors" interns. The program stopped being particularly competitive once they made it unpaid some years ago. Do the big firm since the odds of getting an entry level job at the SEC without a clerkship are minimal. The only time I'd recommend the program over an SA for 2Ls is if they are certain to get a clerkship or 100% committed to the government (not just SEC but any agency) route.
