I spent hours writing an awesome cover letter for a dream job last night. I even re-styled my resume because my old one appeared too busy. I submitted the application last night via email. The job is basically a perfect fit for me.
It turns out that I forgot to add my bar membership status to my new resume. I just passed the bar exam and I'm awaiting admission.
This is a job that requires a license to practice. The job posting doesn't expressly say that, but it is implied. Is neglecting to mention my bar status a fatal error? Will they just assume that I haven't sat for the bar, or that I failed it?
Am I better off 1) doing nothing and hoping they don't reject me for neglecting to indicate my bar status, or 2) submitting an updated resume today?

Updated resume looks bad. Just shoot them an email saying something along the line of "btw, I passed the bar in [your state]."

Eh, don't update, and don't email, they will probably presume you've passed. I don't think its fatal. At worst, if they give you an interview, someone will be like "oh, you passed the bar right?"

Thank you both. I think I'm going to do nothing and pray.

I would most definitely leave it alone.

I've never listed my bar admissions on my resume and had no problem getting interviews or offers. I'm also 5+ years out of school with a big law firm on my resume, but I still wouldn't sweat it.
