Deadline to accept offer is in 3 days and I can't reach recruiter Forum

In August I accepted a verbal offer and was told a written offer would follow. Written offer came three weeks ago via email. Email said the offer must be accepted by 'following directions in their computer system' with no further info. I inquired with my recruiter who referred me to HR who finally said that the email was incomplete because it didn't contain an acceptance link. I told my recruiter and they said they would get it taken care of and get back to me by last week. I emailed recruiter this Monday to ask about it again but got an 'out of the office' message. Deadline to accept is this Friday.

Thoughts?

What are the basic elements of a contract again? Offer, acceptance, and consideration?

Just send an email that you are unable to reach him or her but wanted to formally accept the offer in writing prior to the deadline of x date.

Mailbox rule - offer is accepted at the time acceptance is mailed.

Except the offer had an express stated a method of acceptance. Can't just send an email to random person when it says to go through their online process.

Isn't there an exception when the stated method isn't feasible? I haven't taken K in a while

Email the recruiter (you can CC HR if it would make you feel better) and tell them you accept the offer and will complete the link as soon as they email it back to you. Trust me, no firm is going to rescind your offer over this.

But has any firm ever fired a SA? That doesn't sound "at-will" to me.

In all seriousness, OP: does the firm have a main recruiter or a recruiter in a different office that you can contact? Worst case scenario (and by that I mean if there is only 1 day left) you can email one of the partners you met with during your callback.

Yea. This seems like the pretty obvious solution. I would expect they have more than one person capable of getting you what you need. Just reach out.
