Almost every other type of employer is either just beginning to think about hiring for next summer, or won’t think about it until the spring. (The one exception is federal government agencies, which are accepting applications now...If you are interested in getting private practice experience this summer, know that there are thousands of firms that will be hiring law students for this summer!
Is it true that most mid-size firms haven't started hiring yet.Unlike large firms, small and mid-size firms do not hire at the same time of year. Much of your research will be finding out which firms are hiring and when they start the process. Most small and mid-size firms don’t advertise their summer internships and don’t have information about them posted on their websites.
