Keep networking?
So i did all the networking stuff last year as a 1L. It worked nicely and I landed a big law job for next summer. Do I need to continue networking or can I just focus on getting decent grades?

Watch tv and keep chilling until November.
At least that's what I am doing lol
I think the consensus here is that as long as you don't tank, you are good

Re: Keep networking?
Keep networking, but less of the neurotic need-a-job type networking. Now the pressure's off. Most of your networking should simply be meeting and getting to know people that you will be professionally interacting with for the next 15 years.umichman wrote:So i did all the networking stuff last year as a 1L. Go to CLEs. Go to seminars. Go to happy hour mixers put on by the local bar association. You have the chance to form a reputation before you even do a day of work.

If you find going to a lunch meeting or a happy hour to be a disgusting existence, you're probably in the wrong career.sinfiery wrote: this sounds like a disgusting existence
I've gotten nothing but heaping amounts of benefit from my 2L networking.
