Really don't think you'll see a difference in hours at FF.

There is absolutely no way for your to predict with any useful certainty how many hours you will work at any firm. It depends on the group to which you're assigned, how the market is at that time, how the partners are performing, how you perform, etc. In addition, there is absolutely no real reason to think you'll work less at fried frank. Instead of worrying about how you can avoid working, accept the fact that at each you'll work a ton and select the firm that most furthers your personal goals. This is likely to be Cleary (though be sure you feel OK about being a lit generalist and having absolutely no assigning system).

Literally no difference in hours whatsoever. Might actually be worse at FF if you do real estate (though their RE group is competitive to get into, so probably not a risk if you're an uninformed and uninterested person).
Other than a strong interest in real estate, I cannot think of any reasons to choose FF over Cleary.

Not only is this not a competition, the question betrays a fundamental cluelessness as to how Biglaw works.

Have any offers in a secondary market? That might be your play if you want biglaw money without the NYC hours.
