Gibson (LA) v. Susman (LA)

Post by Anonymous User » Mon Sep 21, 2015 10:29 pm

Thoughts? Think that I want to practice at a law firm as long as they'll have me, but obviously might not have the stomach for it long term.

Are you post-clerkship or something? If you're a 2L, the answer here is both.

Have you visited the firms' respective offices? Have you done any research at all on these places? I mean, you should know that these are two very, very different offices in so many ways (e.g., size, culture, type of work). If you want meaningful "thoughts" from the crowd, why not tell us a bit about what you value and what you're thinking at this point.

You know that susman SA offers are not summer long, right? You would split your summer between the two firms. If Gibson doesn't let you split with another LA firm, then you split with a different office, but I've seen Susman CC/other LA firm splits before.
