TLDR:
1. CB at firm.
2. Radio silence.
3. Career services asks us to let them know if we're waiting to hear from any firms where we would accept if offered.
4. I let career services know that yes, I am.
5. Offer later that day.
I don't know if my school contacted the firm or this was just coincidence, but it can't hurt to ask your career services office if you're in a similar situation. I can't imagine my school is the only one to do something like this.
