Specific Group

Has anyone ever gotten an offer to a specific group at a firm? I dont mean litigation v. transactional. Im more specifically referring to, for example, sports law or environmental. If one is brought in for a callback, are the odds of getting the offer possibly higher because of how small the group is (thought here is that they dont have many callbacks)?

I was called back for the antitrust group for a few firms, and have had friends called back for appellate groups only. I think this is most common for ip tho. I don't think it changes your chances though but if you are genuinely interested in that area it's a pretty easy interview (though I did get some more knowledge-based questions)
