Here's where things stand:
I'm from Houston and go to school in the Midwest.
Firm A is in Houston. Firm B is in Chicago. I have offers from both. Firm A runs a single, six-week summer program, which permits its SAs to split summers. Firm B runs a full-summer program and allows splits on a case-by-case basis. Firm B has a Houston office that, much like Firm A, runs a shortened summer program that allows for splits. I did not interview with Firm B's Houston office, but I told my Chicago-screeners I was interested in both their Chicago and Houston offices.
I've accepted Firm A's offer in Houston and I have no interest in backing out. So, the goal now is to convince Firm B to let me split. What's the best angle here? Better to ask for a split summer in Chicago, or attempt to transfer my offer to the Houston office?
Advice, please. Trying to piece together two offers. Forum

Be upfront & honest with Firm B. Ask if they can accommodate your schedule since you're interested in both firms. The tough part, I'm guessing, is to convince the Chicago location that you are seriously considering Chicago if you are determined to do 6 weeks in Houston with another firm. Might be better to ask if you can split the summer with their Houston office.

OP here. Thanks for the quick reply.
Here's a slight wrinkle in the story that I neglected to include above. I was fairly convinced that I wasn't getting an offer from Firm B for the following reason: my classmate received her offer from firm B several days before me, despite having her callback a few days after me. She accepted this offer last week. So I was really surprised when I got the offer in a voicemail today. I'm wondering how much I can lean on these circumstances.
Edit: Actually, the more I think about it/talk it out with a 3L, I realize that I probably shouldn't even bring this up.
