I understand that "mid-sized" is a very loosely defined category, and that this can obviously vary greatly depending on firm/location/size, but I was hoping I could get rough estimate at least. I got an offer from a mid-sized firm, about 150 attorneys, with starting pay of 130K, and word from partner that bonus could be 10-15K if working comparable biglaw hours.
Does anyone have any idea what salary increases look like at firms with 150-250 attorneys? I know lockstep for biglaw is 160, 170, 185, etc, so is it reasonable to assume that after 3-4 years I could be making 150Kish at mid-sized firm?

It can vary a lot, hard to speculate. To your first point, 150 attorneys and $130k sounds more like regional biglaw than midlaw but yeah it can be fluid.

I've got a wild idea: you could, like, ask someone who works at the firm.Anonymous User wrote:I understand that "mid-sized" is a very loosely defined category, and that this can obviously vary greatly depending on firm/location/size, but I was hoping I could get rough estimate at least.
