Jenner to $180?
I just received an offer for a summer associate position at Jenner. The offer said that the compensation has not yet been determined, then mentioned last year's $160 pro-rated salary.
Does anyone think this could mean salaries may move next year???

No, every offer letter always says this.
NY to 190 is happening though, but not starting with jenner and not b/c of this.

Strange, my other offers didn't have language like that.

I unironically asked the partners for therapy dogs before leaving big law. Would have stayed if they'd made it happen.

From askjan.rog:smaug wrote:law firms clearly should have kitten floors and puppy floors
"Title III (public access) of the ADA requires a public accommodation to modify policies, practices, or procedures to permit the use of a service animal by an individual with a disability (DOJ, n.d.). Title III also requires public accommodations to make reasonable modifications in policies, practices, or procedures to permit the use of a miniature horse by an individual with a disability if the miniature horse has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of the individual with a disability (DOJ, n.d.)."
Apparently, there needs to be - at least - one more floor option.

Re: Jenner to $180?
It's a ticking time bomb. A lot of other firms in SV allowed this... until someone's dog bit someone. Only a matter of time at Gunderson too...RedGiant wrote:Gunderson allows dogs in the office. Just saying.smaug wrote:law firms clearly should have kitten floors and puppy floors
