Torn between K&E NY v. Latham NY. Practice interest is in Corporate (or possibly antitrust), and I equally enjoyed meeting with the people at both firms.
It is true that felt Latham had a more laid back atmosphere, but I felt almost as comfortable at K&E. So I feel like it really comes down to the quality of transactional work and whether I'd like kirkland's free market system (and the above-market bonus). Any thoughts or advice on this?
Thanks!

Latham is consistently above market (though maybe under Kirkland). Have you compared the billing cultures?

Both are great firms. Kirkland is probably a little stronger on the corporate side right now but not by much. Ultimately it probably comes down to wherever you feel more comfortable, and how well you think you can handle the free-market system at Kirkland.
