tell us more

don't tease us like that

ETA word on the street is that it was a straight-up no offer
Yeah the one I know about (and I assume there was only one) was a full no offer not a cold offer, though i guess the difference is not important. I do want to know what the real story is though.
Come on original anon, don't be a cock tease. I've heard about throwing up in the office elevator, but surely there is more
I know that there is at least one person not returning to Hogan. I do not think there is any certainty that the person did not receive an offer. It is entirely possible that person simply decided not to return.

I would be curious to know if anyone knows, for sure, that it was a no offer and the reasons for that no offer.
Oh there is certainty about the no-offer, take that from the only person not posting anonymously ITT

What we want is more juicy details

ETA accidental anon, this is Hand

It was a straight no-offer. Understandably, the person is not openly sharing that they were no-offered. I have heard what the no-offered individual is saying prompted the decision (fit and doing poorly on an assignment), but it didn't really ring true to me given what you hear on TLS about the stuff summers can get away with.

I wonder if that guy was expecting it or if he was blindsided.

Hand, I'm sorry, I don't follow your logic. Is it that we know that it was a "no offer" because you posted that it was a "no offer?"

I know of all the rumors that went around, I'm just curious to know if it was a "no offer" because that would help me figure out if one should be concerned about accepting a Hogan offer.

I tend to give a little more credit to posts by non-anonymous posters, but hey everyone is entitled to their own epistemic practice. Either way, I don't know how many more times you need to hear that it was a no-offer from people who know the person in question before you decide to believe it, but I don't really care whether you do. What I do care about however is more juicy details from people who spent last summer at Hogan. Come on, brave anons.

ETA sorry accidental anon strikes again

I was told by a close friend, who was told by the person in question. It was a no offer. I'm not going to post screenshots on TLS, but it is true.

That said, if the other rumors are true, and there was a specific incident or incidents that led to the decision, then no one else has anything to worry about. Hand just wants gossip, but it would genuinely be helpful for potential Hogan summers to know what happened. Should they be worried that being awkward and screwing up a single assignment could mean a no offer? Or would they have to do something more inappropriate?
