The same question with the subject line....

After screener, a cb is generally decided by the hiring committee, not the interviewer? Some interviewers did not seem to know about a cb interview...

I got some callbacks the same day of my OCI screening. So I assume it didn't have to go through a hiring committee because the turnaround from screening to callback was within a couple hours.
